Veronica Hill was born in Georgetown, Guyana, in South America. She was raised by her grandmother, Sybil Reid, who took Veronica, when she was 3 years old, to live with her in London, England. In 1964, Veronica and her grandmother re-turned to Guyana, where Veronica completed her education and obtained an Associate Diploma in Youth Work from the University of Guyana.
Veronica and her family migrated to Canada in 1980. She is married to Oliver, and has two grown children, Kacey and Devon. Veronica also has a granddaughter, K’yana (14) and a grand-son, Christian (8).
In 1990 she began attending the Salvation Army Mimico Corps, now Lakeshore Community Corps. Veronica became a solider in the Salvation Army in 1992 and loves serving in any capacity within the Corps. She especially enjoys serving on the Community Care Ministry team that conducts services at the McCall Center and Lakeshore Lodge Nursing Home once every month. Veronica also loves to travel, read and enjoys the outdoors.
