Message from Captain Hallelujah

Wow, living this close to the International Airport sure makes time fly fast. Perhaps I should ask, where has the time flown? It seems like yesterday we arrived in this little village of Etobicoke or New Toronto as I am corrected constantly. We hit the Corps running at full speed and praise be given to God for His direction. Hallelujah! What a blast and I am not referring to the jet-blast either. So far I have located a great barber, several restaurants, Timmies on virtually every corner, Canadian Tire and The Master Card “HOCKEY” centre where I start to play on Fridays. Guess what? It`s free for seniors 60 plus BONUS and Hallelujah again!

Friends it seems like we are busy and we are. Between minor Corps repairs, our quarters/home repairs and ministry around this building every day I still make and love taking time to stop and meet the people of this community. There is nothing like a good old chit-chat is there. As my lovely ladies have come to recognize I love my Kahvi, oh sorry that is Coffee in this foreign Etobicoke tongue. I could not have asked for a more loving and wonderful group of people to worship God with daily than we have found here at Lakeshore Community Church/Corps. What a blessing. Oh that deserves another Hallelujah!

We have had the opportunity to have four of our grandchildren taste a little bit of what The Salvation Army daily life is like. I am so thankful for the way you our friends embraced these dear children of ours. The girls Egypt and Daynika were especially blessed by Major Bills artistry and humour. The boys Eli and Adrian had a blast with Frankie in the upper chambers of the worship hall as they entertained each other through video games.

Well friends where do go from here? That is a question for the “Preparers of the way.” This is our training college session name and it is very fitting.

Isaiah 40:3-4; “A voice of one calling: In the desert prepare the way for the Lord, makes straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raise up, every mountain and hill made low, the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”

There will be no place for those still living in sinful behaviour to hide, that together we will not find them. God Almighty has raised and delivered to Etobicoke and areas surrounding for such a time as this new Spiritual leaders. We shall never give up as long as one soul is still in the streets. The dedicated people before us for decades have hosted the Flag of Blood and Fire into the wind on the shores of Lake Ontario and we shall together, you and I continue to fight the good fight for Jesus Christ.

Hallleujah Praise the Lord, Fire a Volley! AMEN!
