Children in grades 1-5 are welcome to join us, each week, right after school, for our After School Club!
After School Club is a great place to meet new friends and have lots of fun in a safe controlled environment.
The After School Club is a free program, we do ask that parents/caregivers volunteer for an hour or so 1-2 evenings per year to help out with clean-up.
What Happens at After School Club?
We start with free play time where we have a wide variety of games and toys that change weekly. Interactive group games that promoted team work and a variety of different fun activities start as soon as everyone has arrived. After everyone has gotten rid of all that pent up energy an it’s time to sit and listen to an encouraging and interactive Bible story, followed by an awesome craft that you can take home with you.
After all that fun everyone sits down (around 5 PM) to enjoy a yummy dinner cooked and served by our Tween Team and then head upstairs for “Singing Company” where Lieutenant Mary teaches the children action packed christian songs that are preformed at various events throughout the year.
At 6 PM children and adults ages 7+ can join in our beginner band where they will and learn a brass instrument, following beginner band at 6:30 PM is the famous Salvation Army Timbrels (google it!) where they hope that you will join in and learn to play the tambourine with them.
